In the world of AV integrators and technology manufacturers, one annual event stands out as the definitive gathering for the industry in North America: InfoComm. Held from June 11 to June 13 in Orlando, InfoComm 2025 shattered previous records, with close to 40,000 registered attendees and a staggering 817+ exhibitors, according to the event’s organizer, AVIXA. These numbers reaffirm InfoComm’s status as the premier destination to explore the future of audiovisual innovation.

So, what does the future of AV hold? Here’s what I saw at InfoComm 2025.

AI: The Driving Force Behind the Next Era of Professional AV

At this year’s show, AI was front and center. With over 20 dedicated sessions, AI wasn’t just a buzzword—it was a central theme, explored across a wide spectrum of applications and industries. Live demonstrations of AI-powered audio mixing and intelligent camera control drew particular interest, offering a glimpse into a future where AV systems adapt in real time to dynamic environments. These innovations underscored AI’s growing role as a transformative engine, enhancing user experiences, streamlining workflows, and driving new levels of operational efficiency.

InfoComm 2025 was especially momentous for our team, as we introduced two AI agents: CreateAI and CurateAI. The enthusiastic reception of these launches, which included a Best of Show award, confirmed what we believe: The future of digital signage is not just visual—it’s intelligent.

The Silence on Tariffs Speaks Volumes

Heading into Orlando, I anticipated a buzz around the impending hardware tariffs—a hot-button issue that seemed poised to dominate conversations. Surprisingly, that wasn’t the case on the show floor at InfoComm. While a few educational sessions, particularly those led by AVIXA’s market intelligence team, offered valuable insights into macroeconomic forces like tariffs, inflation, and interest rates, the broader conversation felt noticeably muted.

It left me wondering: Has concern faded, or is it simmering beneath the surface? Perhaps the silence hints at a deeper anxiety—an acknowledgment of tough times ahead that people aren’t quite ready to unpack. Or maybe, in the face of so much uncertainty, it simply felt easier to avoid the topic altogether. Either way, the lack of open discussion was striking, and possibly more telling than the headlines we expected.

Unlocking the Layers of Dynamic Content

The show kicked off on a high note for me, as I was honored to participate in a panel discussion about dynamic content on the first day. Hosted as part of AVIXA’s educational track, the session was both engaging and insightful, spotlighting a range of innovative practices within our industry.

What stood out most during the panel was the realization that while dynamic content holds incredible power, many organizations are only scratching the surface of what’s possible. The discussion helped break down dynamic content into four key categories, each offering unique value:

  1. Basic Dynamic Content – Real-time updates like weather, news, or time-based messaging that add relevance and immediacy.
  1. Social Content – Live feeds from platforms like Instagram or X (formerly Twitter) that bring user-generated content into the signage experience.
  1. Personalized Content – Messaging tailored to specific audiences, locations, or user behaviors, creating a deeper connection.
  1. Trigger-Based Data – Automated content changes based on real-time inputs like sensor data, sales activity, or audience demographics.

The panel created a rare and energizing space for open dialogue—best practices were shared, ideas flowed freely, and attendees left with practical strategies to take their digital signage to the next level. It was a conversation that underscored not only the untapped potential in this space but also the pivotal role we can play in helping clients turn that potential into measurable impact.

I wasn’t the only one from Korbyt to take the stage. Max Guerrero, our Director of Product, stepped onto the Spotlight Stage to explore the transformative impact of digital signage in retail—a timely and relevant topic as the retail media network industry continues to evolve alongside shifting consumer expectations.

Meanwhile, Andrew Gildin, our VP of Channel, led a compelling session on AI-driven digital signage, hosted by our hardware partner Neat. Their discussion examined how AI is revolutionizing the way businesses deploy, manage, and personalize digital signage experiences, generating strong interest from attendees eager to future-proof their communication strategies.

Another Year of Unmatched AV Innovation at InfoComm

While it shouldn’t come as a surprise, I’m continually impressed each year by how our esteemed partners raise the bar—showcasing innovative products and services designed to elevate the customer experience. From next-generation media players to stunningly crisp LCD and LED displays that quite literally stop you in your tracks, the level of innovation on display is nothing short of extraordinary.

What’s equally inspiring is the immense time, effort, and passion that everyone pours into making this event a success. From booth designs to demos and presentations, it’s clear how much thought goes into creating a valuable and memorable experience for every attendee.

I’m truly grateful to be part of this incredible community—and to all those who helped bring InfoComm 2025 to life, thank you for making it such a standout event.
